MWL: Spring/Summer Favourites

Hitting a slump with my personal style in the last couple of months. It’s always nice to enter a new season where it allows a refresh for your current wardrobe and to add a few pieces that the wardrobe may be lacking.

Spring is a favourite season of mine, particularly my favourite to dress in. There have been a number of pieces that have a caught my eye as of late and I thought it would be good to round up a monthly wish list. Keeping in line of my lifestyle, I have been gravitating towards more comfortable, practical and long-lasting pieces that I can see through everyday.

A lot of red, beaded accessories and thong sandals are in the mix for this season.

Back with another Weekly Wish List and this week we are going more glam. Considering the time of year, all we see is sparkles and glitter, personally I am not one to gravitate towards sequins or glitter and prefer the subtle evening/party wear outfits. The main pieces that I will reach out for when creating a more fancy look will be jewellery, bags and footwear, with this being said; silk scarves are an accessory I feel could be of use all year round. It makes for the perfect addition to a more dressy outfit.

We no longer need to ditch the silk scarves when the temperature drops and we can bring them back to the forefront of our accessory closet.

I decided to present a few ways a silk scarf can ramp up an evening look, a very understated piece of item we all have in our wardrobe, that can now be worn for multiple occasions. To go that one step bigger, another accessory we have begin to see more of this year, is the: brooch. Honestly something about a silk scarf pinned with a minimal style brooch just offers the epitome of elegance and class.
